Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to meet newly appointed German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin on Wednesday, as Ukraine seeks additional military aid amid a surge in Russian airstrikes. Meanwhile, Zelenskyy has expressed willingness to engage in peace talks at the highest level, proposing a trilateral summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. “We are ready to meet at the level of leaders,” Zelenskyy said, emphasizing openness to any format for meaningful negotiations.
