Ariette is the first tale in a celestial fantasy saga that fuses stardust, magic, and forbidden love. It follows Ariette, the smallest star in the universe, who dreams of one day meeting her human stargazer face to face. When his life hangs by a fragile thread, Ariette defies the laws of the heavens and descends into the kingdom of Pernia. But instead of reunion, she finds herself ensnared within an enchanted bottle and transformed into a genie. Torn between worlds, she becomes a prisoner of wishes and fate, her light dimming as she learns the true cost of defiance.
A journey of fate unfolds… Time stands still until Ariette is awakened by a magical bird and a ruthless assassin, drawing her into the shifting destiny of Pernia. With her stardust waning, she must seek her beloved stargazer and unravel the curse of the deadly wish before it consumes them both. As she is pulled deeper into the tapestry of a kingdom where desire and betrayal collide, Ariette must choose between her freedom, her love, and the survival of Pernia itself. Can a fallen star bound to a bottle alter her destiny, or will the wish that binds her bring everything to ruin?

JOURNEY OF THE AUTHOR MIRANDA MOELLER

Miranda Moeller’s path as a writer is one defined by imagination, resilience, and rediscovery. Growing up in a small Texas town, she developed an early love for stories thanks to her mother, who read to her daily. By the age of five, Miranda had written and illustrated her first book purely for fun. Throughout her childhood and adolescence, she continued to craft stories—often inspired by her dreams—and was recognized multiple times for both her writing and art. The seed of her debut novel, Ariette, first took root when she was just ten years old, marking the beginning of a creative journey that would span more than a decade.
Although high school pulled her away from writing, Miranda eventually returned to the page after graduation, turning to her childhood passion as a remedy during a difficult period in her life. The spark reignited, transforming her hobby into a source of healing and joy. What began as a return to comfort quickly evolved into a ten-year journey of discovery. Through the process, she found not only her voice as a writer but also a new understanding of herself. Each chapter of Ariette became a reflection of her subconscious world during her early adult years, blending imagination with personal growth in ways she never anticipated.
Her devotion to the craft deepened as she embraced both the discipline and the artistry of writing. Draft after draft, Miranda refined her storytelling, learning to weave structure, emotion, and character into a tapestry that was as technically strong as it was heartfelt. For her, writing was not merely an act of creation but a process of transformation. Ariette emerged not only as a novel but as a testament to perseverance, resilience, and the power of rediscovering joy through words.
At the center of Miranda’s journey lies her belief that stories are more than entertainment—they are life itself, with the power to inspire, heal, and ignite change. Today, she is actively developing a sequel to Ariette alongside several new works of fiction, including her highly anticipated upcoming book, A Tail and Three Hearts. Each project carries her vision of embedding positive messages within compelling narratives. For Miranda, every story is an invitation to hope, dream, and see the world in new ways. And with each new page, she reaffirms her commitment to sharing the wonder of storytelling for years to come.

INTERVIEW OF AUTHOR MIRANDA MOELLER
Q: How did growing up in Texas shape your imagination?
Growing up in Texas shaped my imagination in countless ways. The free-spirited, larger-than-life energy of the state gave me space to dream without limits. My small hometown lacked excitement but offered peace, which fueled my introverted creativity. I’ve always believed imagination thrives where there’s room to grow—and as we say here, “everything’s bigger in Texas.”
Q: How has your writing evolved from childhood to now?
I began telling stories before I could even write. At five, I penned The Girl and the Wooden Octopus, inspired by a dream, and later at eight, handwrote The Hidden Door. By my teens, I’d built a world of characters and refined my art digitally. At eighteen, I started Ariette—a project of self-discovery that became my debut in 2024.
Q: What themes lie at the heart of Ariette?
Love. That’s it, simply stated. I believe love is the most powerful thing that exists, aside from its close counterpart, fear. I believe that love and fear are both very powerful energies in this world, and in Ariette I hope to prove that love prevails. There are also themes of the dangers of greed and materialism, self-discovery struggles, light vs darkness or good vs evil, and harmony between different worlds which is forged by love. So, there it is again—love.
Q: How do you balance creativity with discipline?
Many writers struggle to balance creativity and discipline, but being naturally organized made it easier for me. I set aside writing time until it became habit, often working late nights to honor the spark. The key was writing whenever possible—college, work, or free time. Playlists, inspiring films, and detailed outlines helped me slip into the creative zone on demand.
Q: How do short stories, novels, and poetry influence each other in your work?
Before writing Ariette, I spent a season immersed in poetry. Since the story originally included singing, I honored that theme through verse. Poetry, with its beauty and vagueness, often expresses feelings better than prose. In Ariette, short tales are woven into the main story, enriching its framework—because life itself is stories, and they are what give meaning to our experience.
Q: Has stargazing inspired your writing in any way?
Since childhood, I’ve been fantasized by the night sky, its mystery always inviting me to think beyond the immediate world. That fascination shaped Ariette. Though the story didn’t originally include stars, I began Ariette’s journey in the sky to capture their beauty. Stargazing, with its serenity and patterns reflecting creation itself, became the energy and inspiration woven into the tale.
Q: Do you return to recurring themes in your stories?
Yes, I’ve noticed recurring themes in my stories. They all tend to include love and romance, as well as adventure, young adults finding their way, good vs evil, those sorts of things. There is usually a protagonist who is trying to escape something or trying to achieve some type of freedom. Overall, I would say my stories tend to center around love and victory over evil.
Q: How do you handle vulnerability in your writing?
I no longer fear vulnerability; I see it as honesty in its most beautiful form. I value transparency in life and in my writing, which is why I draft freely, as if no one will ever read it, then polish later. Choosing love over fear means I don’t hide my emotions—and with honesty, criticism no longer holds power.
Q: What role does family play in your creative journey?
Family has been central to my creative journey. Growing up with my twin sister made storytelling playful, as our characters often crossed into each other’s worlds. Our parents gave us space to be imaginative, letting us role-play, write, and play music freely. Their support and encouragement were invaluable in helping me bring Ariette to life.
Q: What challenges do new writers face today?
Many writers struggle to balance time, creativity, and discipline, often fearing criticism because creativity is deeply personal. I almost didn’t publish Ariette for that reason. Organizing ideas and creating outlines can feel intimidating, but I believe taking the first step is key. Once you begin, momentum grows, and the process of writing starts to snowball naturally.
Q: How do you see storytelling shaping society?
I wasn’t always a reader, but I was always writing, creating the stories I wanted to read. I loved fiction, romance, and adventure, with favorites like The Frog Princess, Once Upon a Marigold, and The Princess Bride. I also explored non-fiction, theology, and the cosmos, finding wisdom and inspiration—especially in the Bible—which subtly influenced Ariette.
