Over the weekend, Israeli ground and air forces struck more than 130 Hamas targets throughout Gaza, executing a coordinated assault backed by real-time intelligence. A key highlight was the July 24 airstrike that eliminated Salah al-Din Za'atra, deputy commander of Hamas’s al-Furqan Battalion, who had orchestrated attacks against Israeli civilians and troops.

In northern and central Gaza, the Nahal Brigade of the 99th Division dismantled tunnel shafts using tank fire, while the 401st Brigade neutralized four Hamas operatives approaching IDF lines. In southern Gaza, the 143rd and 36th Divisions destroyed rocket storehouses and tunnel networks.
Operations intensified in Beit Hanoun, where several militants emerged from a tunnel and surrendered. During field interrogation, they revealed plans to flee following a clash in which one of their comrades was killed. IDF officials said these efforts are systematically degrading Hamas's underground and combat infrastructure.
