The Israeli Air Force has launched its third major wave of airstrikes across Iran within 24 hours, according to IDF spokesman Effie Defrin. On Wednesday evening, Israeli jets targeted western Iran, striking operatives attempting to access surface-to-surface missiles stored at previously hit sites. The first wave, carried out overnight, involved over 50 fighter jets attacking around 40 locations near Tehran, including a centrifuge production site and a facility producing anti-tank missiles reportedly intended for Hezbollah.

A second round of strikes followed Wednesday afternoon, hitting more than 20 targets linked to Iran's missile industry—specifically focusing on missile engines, navigation systems, and assembly units. One strike near Tehran’s police headquarters injured several officers, Iranian state media reported. Meanwhile, Iran summoned the German and Swiss envoys to protest remarks from German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and former US President Donald Trump, who called for Iran's “unconditional surrender.”
