At least three people were injured in Gorlovka, a frontline city in Ukraine’s Donbas region, after Ukrainian drone strikes on Friday night, local officials reported. Mayor Ivan Prikhodko said UAVs first struck in the afternoon, damaging vehicles and energy infrastructure, before hitting a school and apartment block later in the evening. Separately, Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) head Denis Pushilin confirmed that two teenagers were injured by an explosive device.

Russian foreign ministry data shows that between September 15 and 24, Ukrainian drone attacks killed 27 civilians and wounded over 160 across Russia. The violence comes as Russian forces intensify operations in eastern Ukraine. Tensions further escalated following U.S. President Donald Trump’s pledge to increase military and intelligence support for Kyiv, which Moscow condemned. Despite a recent Trump-Putin meeting in Alaska, the conflict shows no sign of de-escalation, with mounting casualties on both sides.
