In an industry driven by trends, timing, and talent, Cindy Serrano has emerged as a rare phenomenon—an international model whose grace, discipline, and magnetic presence have redefined what it means to rise with intention. At just the beginning of her career, Cindy has already captivated the fashion world with a portfolio that suggests not merely promise, but power.

Born on December 25th in the culturally rich and ever-vibrant city of Miami, Cindy's story is one of quiet determination and striking transformation. Raised by Cuban parents who instilled in her a deep sense of discipline, humility, and resilience, she spent her early years far from the glamour of the catwalk—rooted instead in simplicity, tradition, and strong family values. “My parents taught me that anything worth having comes through hard work,” Cindy reflects. “That mindset has shaped every part of who I am.”

Since that fateful moment, the trajectory of her career has been nothing short of remarkable. Despite having no formal academy training and being just over a year into the industry, Cindy has already worked alongside a host of renowned fashion houses and designers, including Odalys Marino,

A career-defining highlight came when Cindy had the distinct honor of opening for Odalys Marino at the exclusive Palm Event held at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach—an opportunity reserved for models at the very top of their craft. “It was surreal,” she says with measured poise. “To be trusted with that moment so early in my career--it was both humbling and deeply a irming.”

What distinguishes Cindy Serrano is not just her undeniable beauty or editorial allure—it’s her profound discipline. In an industry known for its fast pace and fierce competition, Cindy brings a rare composure and focus. Every step she takes is intentional, every collaboration approached with the seriousness of someone far beyond her years. Colleagues, designers, and stylists consistently describe her as mature, professional, and refreshingly driven.

Even o the runway, Cindy’s elegance remains palpable. She finds solace and inspiration in the company of her family, drawing strength from her roots and grounding herself in the values that first shaped her. “Fashion moves fast,” she notes, “but I always make time to return to what keeps me centered—my family, my faith, and the creative things that bring me joy.” Among those passions are makeup artistry and hairstyling—expressions of her refined eye for detail and personal style.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW OF CINDY SERRANO WITH DE MODE

Q: As a judge for World Top Model, how do you view your role in shaping the journeys of young aspiring models?

A. “Being a judge for World Top Model is an opportunity to help young aspiring models turn their dreams into reality. It’s about guiding them, inspiring them, and giving them the tools to succeed in such a competitive industry.”

Q: Receiving such an incredible award from HSH Prince Albert II must have been a milestone. How did it feel to be honored by royalty, and how has this moment impacted your life and career?

A. To receive such an incredible award from such a distinguished person as HSH Prince Albert II, I was shocked. I feel very honored and humbled. It is not common to receive recognition from royalty. This means you are doing something good for humanity, and that’s why this has impacted my life in a transcendental way that inspires me to continue.

Q: When designing for celebrities, what elements do you focus on to create something unforgettable for them?

A. My focus is on a few things: Who am I designing for? What is the personal style of the celebrity? What occasion will they be attending? Then, I put my love and personal touch into every detail to create something unforgettable. It’s the greatest compliment when an interviewer asks, ‘Who are you wearing?

Q: Can you describe that “wow” moment during your creative process when a gown truly comes to life?

A. That wow moment is created when the gown is almost ready, and suddenly you look at it and say, ‘I’m missing something.’ You start adding touches and making changes, and that’s when you practically put your heart into the piece. That’s where those truly unique gowns are born.

Q: You’ve showcased your work at iconic locations like The Palm Event at Mar-a-Lago. Can you share what makes this experience so memorable for you?

A. The Palm Event at Mar-a-Lago is a very special place for me. When everyone is busy enjoying the food, drinks, chatting with celebrities, and admiring the exotic cars on display, my name is announced. Suddenly, the crowd drops everything and gathers around the carpeted runway by the iconic pool area to witness my show. They applaud and cheer while capturing the moment on their phones. To see the models smiling and enjoying their walk—it reminds me that a designer is nothing without fantastic models and the great staff working behind her

Q: Philanthropy clearly plays an important role in your life. How has giving back shaped you personally and professionally?

A. Philanthropy has absorbed me as a person and has always followed me during my journey. I find ways to give back with every step I take because I want to be more productive for humanity.

Q: What inspired you to donate gowns to Quinceañeras, and why do you feel this tradition is so meaningful for young Hispanic girls?

A. My inspiration for donating gowns to Quinceañeras comes from knowing all girls dream of one day becoming a princess. I don’t want them to miss that moment because their family doesn’t have the means. A gown is such an important rite of passage for young Hispanic ladies.

Q: You’ve collaborated with the charity ‘A Safe Place for Newborns’ for their annual fundraising gala. Can you tell us about your experience designing for such an important cause?

A. I have loved collaborating with ‘A Safe Place for Newborns’ for their annual fundraising gala. During the event, I created an elegant theme to enchant attendees. Several of my gowns were auctioned off to support the charity—it’s been one of my most rewarding collaborations.

Q: Your Cuban heritage and love for the ocean often influence your designs. How does this cultural background shape your collections, such as your Ocean Collection?

A. These Cuban roots live inside me, and every time I think about something—especially from the sea—I’m reminded of the island where I grew up. The vibrant Caribbean ocean blue colors greatly influence my designs, as seen in my Ocean Collection.

Q: How do you approach creativity when working under tight deadlines? Do you believe true inspiration requires freedom from pressure?

A. I don’t like creating on a tight schedule because I no longer consider it creating. When you do things under pressure, you’re not creating; you’re working. I’m more of a creator when inspiration comes to me, because that’s where originality lies—not in copying.

Q: What trends do you predict for the 2025 red carpet, and what do you feel women will gravitate toward in couture fashion?

A. Red carpet trends for 2025? I see feathers. I see comfortable clothes. Haute couture is coming back because it’s time for women to be elegantly dressed, even when they’re attending a comfortable and casual event.

Q: What legacy do you hope to leave in the fashion world, and how would you like future designers to remember your work?

A. The legacy I hope to leave in fashion is originality. I want designers to be themselves, to never copy others because ‘everyone else is doing it.’ I want them to feel in their hearts what they bring to the fabric of their creations. My legacy will always be elegance, discipline, and originality.

Q: How do you envision fashion as a tool for empowerment, self-esteem, and combating social issues like bullying and abuse?

A. I want fashion to help us raise our self-esteem, to not allow bullying, humiliation, or abuse. I want people to feel empowered and to feel like human beings who deserve and get respect.

Q: In your opinion, how should elegance and sensuality be balanced in women’s fashion to create pieces that are empowering without being vulgar?

A. These are two very important points in fashion, and like everything in life, they must be balanced when combined. I’m very careful when putting this into a garment—ensuring it’s not vulgar but still embodies elegance.
