1. 'EDWARD GATE AND THE RETRIEVAL' - BY AUTHOR QUINTO LAM
Edward Gate gets hit by an asteroid when he was 5 and the next thing he knows he wakes up from a coma 7 years later. Edward gets accepted into Brickston High, but he gets weird dreams of a girl he doesn’t know and an older man talking about a prophecy of some sort. As he gets more and more of these dreams and as he meets the girl in the dreams in real life, he realizes that he has to go on a journey someday.
Months later, Edward gets expelled from Brickston High, he cannot delay the journey anymore. He gets his two friends and they go on a journey.
They go to a portal that leads them to another realm, then they search for the three legendary keys which unlock the cage of Death. Another party is going for the three legendary keys, but unlike Edward, they want to use them to unlock Death’s cage. They arrive at the portal, but it is guarded by puzzles and a giant maze. After the trio traversed through the defenses and killed a monster that took the lives of hundreds, they entered the portal and went into the second dimension.
The trio goes towards the first key and they almost get there, until Death’s supporters come up and stop them. They fight through the supporters though and they get the first key. After that, the trio goes on a ship, gets attacked by goblins, and retreats back onto land for the rest of the journey to the second key. As they advance, so do Death’s supporters.
When they all get to the second key, Death’s supporters get the second key before the trio can. The trio go on a long chase after the second key and it all comes down to one fight. The trio of kids against a dozen full-grown adults trying to release Death. If the trio wins, they win the race and stop Death, but if they lose, they lose their advantage of having one of the three keys necessary. One fights to decide the fate of the world.
A very well-written adventurous story that is full of unexpected twists. The story is also humorous and fast-paced. You'll love Edward and will enjoy his journey. With a vivid imagination and a love for exploring new worlds, Author Quinto Lam has created characters that jump off the page and adventures that keep her readers on the edge of their seats. Despite his young age, Quinto's talent for writing has already earned his critical acclaim and a growing fan base.

THE JOURNEY OF AUTHOR QUINTO LAM
Quinto Lam is the author of Edward Gate and the Retrieval. He’s 13 years old and he currently lives in Hong Kong. And this is his journey.
Quinto has always been passionate about writing. He wrote a couple of short stories when he was very young and he hasn’t started only one novel. Quinto started his first novel back when he was eight and he gave up on it only 2,000 words into the novel.
A year or so later, he began a new novel. After 2 months of work and 14,000 words, Quinto accidentally deleted the Word file. On that day, he thought that he would never write a novel ever again.
Now we jump to early 2022. Quinto had a brilliant idea in mind for a plot and started writing even though he remembered the last time he tried to start a novel. He gave his friend Jayden the link the same day and asked Jayden to rate his writing. This became routine for Quinto as Quinto wrote more and more, waiting for Jayden’s critiques every single day.
After 3 months of writing 70,000 words and 3 months of getting the manuscript edited, refined, and proofread, getting the cover for the book and getting the ISBNs, writing the side stories that would be released along with the main novel, Quinto Lam is the proud author of Edward Gate and the Retrieval and he thanks the people who’ve supported him and most importantly his advisor Jayden which made his life much easier. Author Quinto has more books planned, but does not disclose how many. The series will include at least three books, including the first. He is enthusiastic about the series, having learned a lot from the first book. The author's current priorities in life include studying, playing badminton, and working on Edward Gate. Although some may consider it dull, the author finds this lifestyle delightful. The author hopes that readers will enjoy the series.

The Needle and the Damage Done is the story of a boy from a small Irish village who became an adventurer, multi-award-winning doctor, and physician to the stars. Cosmetic doctor Patrick Treacy grew up in rural Northern Ireland during The Troubles. Determined to become a doctor, he raised money for medical school in Dublin by smuggling cars from Germany to Turkey. He studied biochemistry at Queen's University Belfast and medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons. While working in a Dublin hospital, he was accidentally jabbed with a needle by an HIV patient. He took blood test after blood test for many years until he was confirmed negative. Initially overwhelmed by the experience, he moved to New Zealand, away from everyone who knew what he was going through his girlfriend and his colleagues. Thus, he began a peripatetic existence, working as a doctor around the world. In Saddam Hussein’s Baghdad, Treacy was arrested and imprisoned, spending days wondering whether he was going to be hanged as a spy. He worked as a ship’s surgeon in California and with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Australia. On returning to Dublin, Treacy set up the Ailesbury Clinic where he pioneered the emergent field of cosmetic dermatology, championing treatments regarding the use of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. His award-winning research brought him numerous international accolades and many celebrity patients, including the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson, who came flocking to his door.
Central to this memoir is Treacy’s personal journey: his efforts to escape the conflict of The Troubles, coping with the fear that he may have contracted HIV, getting over his lost love, and surviving the crippling Irish recession. Most of all, it gives us a fascinating insight into his award-winning research on the influence of Botox ® on the brain and how he developed protocols to reverse the damage being done to patients’ faces as a result of the complications of dermal fillers.

Dr. Treacy, born in Fermanagh (Northern Ireland) was awarded the “Top Aesthetic Practitioner in the World 2019” at the MyFaceMyBody Global Awards (Las Vegas). He is recognized as one of the most influential aesthetic practitioners in the world. He won the ‘Doctor of the Year UK 2019 (London) and is among a few doctors in the world to have won the coveted AMEC Trophy three times (Paris 2014 and 2016, Monaco 2019). He was given the CCME Medal for “Excellence in contributions to Aesthetic Medicine” (Mexico 2016) and received the MyFaceMyBody Specialist Award (London 2018). He was awarded a Laureate in Aesthetic Medicine by the Azerbaijani College of Medicine and the Beauty & Anti-Ageing Trophy (Baku 2017). He was awarded the 1st AIDA Trophy for his research in Aesthetic Medicine (Abu Dhabi 2017). He won both the “Irish Healthcare Award for Medical Research” (Dublin 2017) and the “British College of Aesthetic Medicine Award for Medical Research” (London 2017). He is recognized to be among the first doctors worldwide to use hyaluronidase during vascular filler occlusion and to establish protocols for its use.

Since a very young age, Author Omara Williams has had a passion for reading and writing. She would spend hours each day imagining characters and situations and would then sit down to write for hours. She found inspiration in everything around her, even in cloud shapes that she would use to create stories.

It was a challenging process, as she had to balance writing with her full-time job. After five years of hard work, Author Omara was able to complete her book project and publish her first book. THE JOURNEY OF AUTHOR AF CARCIRIERI JR
Originally from the state of Maryland, author A. F. Carcirieri, Jr. is a graduate of the Loyola University of Maryland where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Through a working career related to the fields of occupational safety and health, and the contracting of products and services he became well-versed in formal writing. Although this kind of work honed his precision and depth capabilities, it did not fulfill his ambitions for writing. He wanted to be creative, a course of mind that runs afoul of the rigidity expected of formal correspondence.
His primary subjects of interest are history and astronomy, though his astronomical curiosity is mostly limited to our solar system. He also bears a keen perception of the forces that influence human behavior, and what makes people do what they do. The Mayor of Casterbridge and Gulliver’s Travels are among his favorite novels. The television series The Twilight Zone, he considers a significant influence on his writing.
Carcirieri began writing his first published novel in 2014. While attending to domestic family matters and pouring over research sources, he eventually completed Star Bright, a 16-story novel focusing on the mys1t6ique of Planet Venus in 2021. Although this work was at times arduous, Carcirieri will tell you that he enjoyed it; it was fun. Carcirieri presents a collection of stories, all loosely connected to the planet Venus. These tales tell of many journeys, set in time periods that range from the days of Creation to the year 2023.
His approach is rather unique, though not unheard of. The author, Ray Bradbury, produced similar works. Although Star Bright is considered a work of Historical Fiction, its main intent is to stir the reader’s imagination. As Carcirieri is fond of saying:
“When it comes to writing about the mystique of Planet Venus, sticking to a single genre is way too tame for me.”

Never the Moon is another fantastic novel by Rita H Rowe. I really enjoyed the writing style. The author includes the perfect amount of detail in each chapter to keep the novel short and sweet. I loved the multiple POVs, and the characters were great. I felt sympathy for Jennifer when she was really struggling with what to do at certain points in the book, but at the same time, I just wanted to shake her and tell her she was doing the wrong thing. Overall this was an entertaining novel with an interesting story about soul mates and love. I definitely recommend giving this one a read! - REBECCA (Reviewed in Australia)
From start to finish, I was absolutely encaptured by the unrequited love story of Jennifer and David. I was lured in by the different perspectives of each of the characters and loved that I was able to piece the story together through each of their lenses. This is a story that many women can identify with; on so many different levels. 7. 'TEMPUS' - BY AUTHOR E A PURLE
Hugh Geber, Barrington Delphin, and Emily Le Fey are in hiding under the protection of the Collins family at the University for Science and Progression, after returning to Portis-Montis with the lore book for magic. THE JOURNEY OF AUTHOR E A PURLE
When E A Purle arrived in the world, it lit up white. Literally. There was a raging blizzard outside the window. He spent the next few months laying on his back whinging a lot, but it wasn’t long before he found his feet and began staring at them, before realizing what they were for. As he progressed into his school years, he amazed his family, friends, and teachers with his lack of hand-eye coordination, knowing this would lead to great hilarity in later years.
Soon, the time came for E A Purle to pick a career. He chose the theatre industry, thinking this would be the best place for someone with his talents. He soon realized that dancing required more hand-eye coordination than he possessed, so he opted to work backstage, a move that turned out to be great fun. After the obligatory visit to the shop for a long wait and sky hooks, he soon found his niche, moving lumps of painted wood around the stage, hoping not to be seen by audience members.
A few trips around the sun, and lots of shows later, E A Purle found a Mrs. Purle. They created between them two beautiful small and shouting, full of life and many, many questions. It was around this time that E A Purple decided he needed a change of career. Using his creative skill set and talent, he moved into the wonderful world of … building. Once again, his hand-eye coordination shone through, hitting many a nail head, but mostly the surrounding walls.
However, it wasn’t long before the urge to create surfaced again. With a spot of bad luck in the health department, he found he had spare time to write. It became a regular habit, a surprise to all those around him, but to none more than E A Purle himself. But once he started, he found he couldn’t stop. Life entered a chaotic period, the perfect time to add a puppy into the mix, and four became five. After numerous pairs of chewed shoes and furniture and copious amounts of blue roll and disinfectant, life finally settled down again. He released Firestone in May 2021, and the Lore of Tellus series was born. Five books are planned in total, followed up with more adventures set within the world of Tellus.

Dr. Barbara Koltuska-Haskin is a Clinical Neuropsychologist in private practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has over thirty years of clinical experience. She also has a research and academic teaching background. In addition to her doctorate in psychology/neuropsychology, she has a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Education degree (valedictorian). She also completed 450 hours of academic coursework in psychopharmacology sponsored by the Southwestern Institute for the Advancement of Psychotherapy/New Mexico State University Collaborative. She is also a classically trained mezzo-soprano.
Dr. Koltuska-Haskin is the author of the SEVEN awards-winning book titled, “How My Brain Works, A Guide to Understanding it Better and Keeping it Healthy.” Her book was a finalist at the International Books Awards and a Finalist at the Independent Author Network BOOK OF THE YEAR AWARDS. Her book was also honored with a 'Silver Medal' at the Readers’ Favorite International Books Award and was honored Distinguished Favorite Award at the NEW YORK CITY BIG BOOK AWARDS. Her book was also a finalist at the New Mexico/Arizona Books AwardEd 1st PLACE WINNER at the 2021 ROYAL DRAGONFLY BOOK AWARDS. Recently, How My Brain Works has been chosen as a finalist in the 2022 Eric Hoffer Awards in the da Vinci Eye category for its cover design. She loves New Mexico for its sunshine, beautiful nature, and hospitality of the people. She always feels that she is “New Mexican in her heart.” She loves walking New Mexico’s trails, and the climate of the high desert cultivates her passion for organic gardening. Dr. Koltuska-Haskin was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland. In 1989, she was awarded the AAUW (American Association of University Women) International Fellowship given to one out of thirty international applicants. She spent her fellowship year at UCLA’s postdoctoral training program in neuropsychology. She later received her US citizenship as an “alien of exceptional abilities” on the basis of her education, research in neuropsychology, and clinical achievements.

THE JOURNEY OF AUTHOR BENJAMIN GROSE
Benjamin was standing outside the real 'Munks' one day in early 2010 having a cigarette and talking to one of the bouncers, who said "The stuff you see in this place, someone should write a book about it..."
A few days later, Benjamin wrote the first line of ‘The Reprobates’ — "I work in a nightclub where the only people more reprehensible than the customers are the people serving the drinks."
He was 20 years old, wore a trilby hat most of the time, and was halfway through racking up a sizeable student loan for a degree in Creative Writing.
That first line of ‘The Reprobates’ never changed throughout the revisions to come. In fact, a lot of the material stayed very true to the first draft that he hammered out in about two frenetic weeks, following several months of research. He interviewed a lot of the 'characters' in the novel to bring Munks to life, with all its blotted and booze-stained history. This story is as much theirs as it is his.
99% of what happens in this novel is true.
Whether it happened to Benjamin or not is another question entirely. But the story of Munks, and how ‘The Reprobates’ came to be, was not the beginning of Benjamin’s journey as a writer. He started writing from an early age, first putting words down when he was just 13 in book one of a fantasy trilogy inspired by Phillip Pullman’s ‘His Dark Materials’. 99% of what happens in this novel is true. Since then, he has written an array of fiction, including eight novels, and a novella. ‘The Reprobates’ is the first to make it out into the world. But it won’t be the last. Ben currently lives in Wiltshire with his partner and their family. He is part of the Bath Spa Creative Writing Alumni.

Author Elaine Broun has always been fascinated by people and how their life journeys influenced them as a person. Having traveled all over the world as a child, she saw sights such as the ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru, the Mayans in Mexico, and climbing through the Catacomb's of a fourteenth-century church in Brazil. This love of history was introduced to her by her father and they share it together to this date.
In third grade, Author Elaine Broun began an obsession with reading autobiographies. She always had a runaway imagination, picking a book about a person she wanted to know more about. Some answers she sought were if they were happy, if there had been a tragedy in their life if they had a family of their own, and where their lineage derived from. Ultimately, her love of reading and natural curiosity cultivated a desire over time to want to write stories, specifically based on true stories.
Elaine Broun is a well-travelled debut author who has uncovered a little-known story and circumstance from late sixties Uruguay which she has developed into a thriller of some interest. In her interview with DE MODE, when asked - Which part of the story is her favorite well-traveled fiction? she said - Adding to this mixture were the struggles Peter faced balancing the interactions with the Terrorists, and constant communications with the Uruguayan Military and his family. Daily he was bombarded with threats from the Terrorists and constantly had to look over his shoulder for fear of being kidnapped any time he left his home. Daily there was also the back-and-forth interaction between the Uruguayan police and Militaries, both were involved in trying to create a protective barrier for the family. In the end, being more than they could handle, the Police bowed out and left Uruguayan Military completely in charge. The last scenario was Peter’s torment how about to share or not share with his wife and his children, for the subject was terrifying! Can you just for one moment imagine what that would have felt like to live through something like that? This story was so surreal!'

12. 'THE BEGINNING' - BY AUTHOR JACOB JONES
Heroe’s Rising takes place in the year 2674 Xamir, the era of adventurers. The world was filled with many adventurers and monsters alike. Within the world, there were eight kingdoms that thrived. Four kingdoms thrived in the north within the mountains.
Two kingdoms thrived in the west within the forest. The one thrived at the border between the east and south where the meadows and water flow the best. The last kingdom resided in the middle of all kingdoms. A great battle took place during this year as the sky itself ripped open. Fiends descended onto the world and spread to all the kingdoms. A group of adventurers stood their group and prepared to fight.
A goddess descended onto the world and lent her magical powers to the adventurers who decided to take a stand. The battle raged on with the adventurers winning the fight but with a cost. The friend who opened the sky grabbed ahold of the goddess and took her as the rip in the sky began to close. The adventurer’s victory was short-lived as they lost the goddess who came to help them. They decided to break up the group so they could help the other kingdoms and teach people the ways of magic. Word of their victory spread throughout the land and thus began the era of the Legendary Heroe’s era.
During the era LH era, adventurers of different races find themselves coming together to form a group and accept a king’s quest to discover why there is a surge of magical energy in various locations. They accept this quest from the King of Evergreen. Little do they know; they will find themselves trapped. The only way to escape is to uncover what is holding them captive while figuring out the mystery of the magical surge. The group of adventurers find themselves entering the wasteland which was encased in fog. They enter the fog realizing they are unable to leave. After entering they felt a magical pressure against their chest. They know in order to escape the fog they have to uncover who is behind the magical surge within the wasteland and somehow stop them.
This book is a very exciting adventure that crosses time and space and gives the readers a new reality built purely from the author’s vivid imagination. The details and the imagery in the book make the story so much more vibrant and so vivid that it seems like the readers have been transported into the story, and are looking at the events unfolding in person.

THE JOURNEY OF AUTHOR JACOB JONES
The author, name is Jacob Jones. He started his journey to becoming an author when he started writing when he was around twelve years old. He wrote many stories during the time he started. After high school, he had to work which caused him to spend most of his time away from writing. When he turned twenty-one years of age, he started his career in law enforcement in the corrections division. With him working long hours he had to balance his time from work and free time.
He could not willingly write whenever he was off from work, he had to feel inspired. When he did feel ins inspired wrote until it got late in the night. Jacob Jones wrote two stories that he finished and wanted to publish but was unable to do so. He ended up losing his stories which were stored on a flash drive. With his wife and friends encouraging him to continue to write, he started his new story. The story he created is something that comes from within his mind.
Before sending his stories in for publishing he had to make sure they were good enough. He wanted to make sure the work/world he created was enough to catch the reader’s attention. Jacob Jones is a passionate writer who is determined to turn his story into a series that captivates readers. He is driven by his desire for everyone to experience the same sense of wonder and adventure that he feels while creating his stories. Jacob's ultimate goal is to transport his readers into his fictional world, allowing them to become fully immersed in the story and its characters. He knows that achieving this level of engagement will require dedication, hard work, and a deep understanding of his audience's needs and desires. There was hardly any part where the story dipped in terms of interest. Every situation was just interesting. THE JOURNEY OF AUTHOR LISA CORDEAU
Her mother’s love of books inspired Lisa to read and write from an early age. She filled her journals with story ideas and made-up towns full of interesting characters. Lisa’s parents encouraged the hobby, eventually needing to buy several bookshelves to house her collection. One of their favorite used bookstores offered an exchange program, so they spent many weekends perusing the shelves of novels there. After returning their finds, they walked away with several bags filled with fresh stories to explore. Although life took her in other directions, writing has always been her first love. Returning to those pages, she became motivated to accomplish her dream of publishing her debut novel, Agapē. In 2022, her dream became a reality. When Lisa is not spending time with her husband of nearly twenty years and their two cats, she crochets, paints, or works on the second novel in her Heart’s Compass series.
During her interview with DE MODE, Author Lisa explained to our team the significance of the title of her book, Agapē. which is a Greek word for love. She said, 'It means selfless love, put into action. The best example of this I can give is first responders—police, fire, and ambulance. These people panther life on the line for others without question, that is Agapē. I used this theme throughout my book. In the interactions between Cassie, Janice, and Pete, among the brothers and then within the group. And through this, I also highlight that heroes don’t always wear capes. There are those out there willing to give of themselves for the betterment of others.'
While speaking about how she came up with the cover of her book, Agapē, she said 'It definitely took awhile and a lot of back and forth with Laura to find not only the right graphic, but the colors. It’s very bold and eye-catching, which I adore. And I love the play on the woman’s expression with the title. ' In publishing her book, her favorite part is actually just publishing her book! It’s a dream come true for her! Her least favorite process in publishing her book is not having a team to do the marketing. But she aims to have it someday!

Abigail Stewart is a fiction writer from Berkeley, California, where she resides with her partner in an apartment filled with plants, books, and breakable things. Like Stewart’s first book, The Drowned Woman, this tale has a feminist bend to it, a sense that the women will not be cowed by the men around them. Her women see the men in their lives and take men’s dreams into consideration, just not at the price of their own. The novella revolves around a house that three women live in over time. Each one gets entangled with the house with one dream—building a family, hiding from fame/shame, creating a brand—but quickly finds themselves shifting into a different dream instead. We know very little of what happens to each woman after they leave the house. It captures this brief moment for them, a window when they can grow wings or become wallpaper, and we get to watch them fly.

Raised among the vast rural winter plains and flawed French history of Michigan, Leah Angstman had no choice but to be an artsy kid at the outset, from her first word being “ta-da!” to her launching of a publishing company while still a pre-teen.
