"IN A MILLION YEARS" - BY AUTHOR L. L. NACHOV

What would our civilization be capable of if we were to endure the next one million years? Essentially one of the purposes of this book is to introduce the reader to a reality where they themself exist. With enough clues, thought-provoking explanations and immersive experiences, anyone could imagine where they will be positioned in such a world.

The story follows the life of Vian Abragar and how his path crosses that of the only ruler of humanity at the time. By choice, the young boy ends up being an assistant of Her Majesty and undergoes harsh and ruthless training, both physical and emotional. With time he gains the power and the means to uncover a scheme far eerier than what imagination could withhold. Fierce battles between species, immortality, ultimate power, erotica, discoveries, and a threat - never before seen by humanity!

A very grounded book told through the eyes of Vian, a first-person narrative. Through vision, this book perhaps entails scenarios of a possible future, a future within reach. Evolution Omnipotence.

Evolution-omnipotence: A state of evolution where a species can consciously survive any known threat. The discovery of a new threat automatically ends an era of evolution-omnipotence, until danger is averted.

This is a story of new, a story which surprisingly involves you. Whoever you are, wherever you are, at whatever stage in life you are, I do not think you believe we cease to exist after we meet our tragic demise. Not only that you do not believe it, but you feel it within you; that feeling—that death is just not the end.

This book will introduce a probable scenario to your life, one that might slightly change your perceptions about ‘life’ after death. Similar to dreaming, most certainly, we are not susceptible to feel the passing of time when we face death. If we were to wake up from a year’s long sleep that would feel like the blink of an eye. What if we were to wake up from our ‘forever’ sleep into a far and distant future? What if our predecessors were to wake us up? Could we perhaps reach for such lengths? It might seem impossible but is it improbable?

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW OF AUTHOR L. L. NACHOV WITH DE MODE

Q: ‘In a Million Years' delves into a future humanity could experience. What inspired this concept and the trajectory of Vian Abragar's journey?

A. Human potential - it is mind-disrupting how unique we all are, and yet we are only human. I was inspired to give readers a character in whose shoes anyone could walk. Experiencing the future through clarity and relatability is what I think can breathe life into individual views of human potential.

Q: The book's concept of ‘Evolution-Omnipotence’ is intriguing. Can you elaborate more on this evolutionary state and its implications within the story?

A. It is a state of Evolution where we as a species do not fear anything. Our technological advancements have allowed us to venture to other planets and populate many of them. We also have the ability to detect and predict cosmic disasters, therefore we have learnt to escape and survive such phenomena.

Q: Vian Abragar seems to have undergone an intense transformation. How does his character arc mirror the larger themes explored in the book?

A. Similar to many of us, the sixteen-year-old boy faces countless hardships. His experiences with immortality, space-travel, combat, discoveries, resurrection, and more, are as new to him as they are new to every reader. An ordinary boy placed under extraordinary circumstances. How he pushes through life is not that unfamiliar, simply a human like all of us.

Q: The story navigates through fierce battles, immortality, and an unprecedented threat. What elements of these challenges do you feel resonate most with today's readers?

A. We live in mysterious times, every fictitious theory you Google, you will find that is somehow a part of our world today. Complete eutopia plus sufficient entertainment, who does not wish for that? On the other hand, the world has been ending since it began, so unprecedented threats will remain modern until time itself fades.

Q: The book is narrated in the first person through Vian's perspective. What motivated you to tell this story from a deeply personal viewpoint?

A. Describing a multi planetary world taking place a million years in the future and finding ways to deeply reflect on multiple characters and environments felt extremely overwhelming. Deciding to explore that world together with a young boy who sees everything through a pair of fresh eyes is the best decision I have ever made.

Q: The challenges and rewards of crafting a future world while keeping it grounded and relatable for readers?

A. I spent significant time trying to incorporate the growth process of Vian’s personality into the book. He is impulsive, ill-mannered - a teenager. Reading through the pages his character becomes more mature and well-versed. Initially, I was sceptical about describing the world through young eyes but expressing how his thought process evolved turned out brilliant.

Q: There's a personal journey intertwined with the creation of this book. How did your experience with clinical anxiety influence the themes or narratives within 'Evolution Omnipotence'?

A. At the time I felt weak and vulnerable, however, my mind remained strong and through acceptance, lifestyle changes and reflection it took me long, but I overcame anxiety. The only part of this difficult time that I write about is the ‘never give up’ side of things. Whatever happens, whatever comes your way, just never give up!

Q: You mentioned your advocacy for a greener world and your aspirations not to let down future generations. How do these passions manifest or intersect within the narrative of the book?

A. One word – Eutopia, I have presented a world where all my aspirations have manifested into ultimate results. Personally, I know that millions if not even billions of people share these two same passions with me. Because of this, the world will very soon turn into a better place, period!

Q: The character Vian seems to navigate complex moral dilemmas. How do these dilemmas reflect broader societal or ethical issues that readers might encounter?

A. As the story progresses the consequences of Vian’s decisions become more complex. Many times in life we are faced with difficult choices but escaping them is rarely a solution. One of the strong characteristics of the boy is the part of him that always keeps on moving forward. The one thing that doesn’t make life easier is avoidance.

Q: 'Evolution-Omnipotence' weaves together elements like discoveries, power, and threats. What do you hope readers take away from this multifaceted narrative?

A. It is difficult for me to encompass the value of the book. I think in a way I would want everyone to reflect on their role inside the ‘Evolution-Omnipotence’ era. Hopeful that readers will be able to look within and fuel their potential just a step further. The unfolding of the story is very intriguing as well.

Q: Your recovery journey from anxiety led you to support a charitable foundation. How has this personal journey influenced your perspective on mental health, and did it shape any aspects of the book's message or narrative?

A. The book has very few non-important lines that maybe slightly relate to the struggle. However, the entire world itself was my safe space for a long while. "Prioritized mental health, conquering nightmares.
