Paris Fashion Week continued the lead in being the gem of luxury and the head of the fashion world this season with Femme FW2022 season. Almost all the seasons’ events were live and consisted of several live formats. Consists of a mixed bag of digital inaugurations, presentations, film, static displays, meet and greets, intimate meetings with the designers, and of course runway shows. It was an uplifting experience for not just journalists, but buyers and networking interests as Paris leads the push for more live events post Covid.

Meanwhile, a new unfortunate turn of world events in Ukraine as they have been engulfed in an invasion by Russia creating a humanitarian crisis, and a light into environmental concerns with Chornobyl. Fashion was not immune from this, and in fact, really highlighted these concerns which affect every being on this planet. These concerns were not only discussed intimately with designers from Ukraine but also with the neighboring countries and cultures affected by this unstable situation within the human element and fashion world.

A big push and feeling in the current of this season were not only that we must come together as a species to resolve these issues, but indeed push through and forward on the environmental issues with fashion and the processes of that creation. Many designers are putting their creativity into every step of the process from the gathering of the raw materials to the end user wearing the designs. Coming back to local sources, artesian craftwork, textile technology that is more environmentally responsible and friendly, and the reuse of old materials and even creating materials from more organic sourcing in all areas of the designs. All ages, shapes, and backgrounds were also noticeable in the season's looks and cuts. Floral and very organic prints, pastel and grounding colors, cut-outs, new pairings and technology, imaginative combinations, and recycled or upcycled materials are also a part of the fashion designs for Femme FW 2022.

Imaginative, inner feeling and heartfelt care to each unique user in the fashion style and the utility of that personal style, a theme over and over in each designer’s creation. Overall Femme FW2022 was a continuation and bloom from Homme and Haute Couture from earlier this year, focusing more on what fashion is….….an art that is personal to you, and a reflection of your core being.
