This novel traces the journey taken by Cynthia as she began to search for love. Her grandmother, who she thought was her mother until she was thirteen, raised her. She never felt any love from her new family, so she reached out to find it with her friends. She found a sister love with her best friend Teresa and a family love with her college friend Christine. As she looked for true love, she encountered several failures and several lost loves, but Cynthia never gave up. She lost Randall, her first love, due to her teenage pregnancy. Daniel because of his jealousy and physical abuse. Nathan and Cole didn't last because she couldn't move her sons away from their fathers. And her marriage to Robert ended because of his alcoholism and verbal abuse. In the end, it was Craig who became her one true love. The man she tracked down to help her find a soulmate.
Alessia soon becomes just another number, a pawn in the Nazi regime, wondering if she will ever see her family again. On the other side of the world, Aradia experiences a new world that tests her at every turn both culturally and emotionally.

A phenomenal story of love and perseverance! Finding A Soulful Love “ is a great read! I ordered it on a Thursday, received it on a Friday, and read it completely on a Saturday Afternoon. The story is heartbreaking, slightly funny but mostly interesting and intriguing. I read the book in its entirety in one sitting because it kept me intrigued and curious about what was going to happen next. Its content resonated with me because of the many family secrets and happenings that families hold and the tragic aftermath of what happens and who it affects when these secrets are ultimately discovered/revealed. Cynthia was for me, a strong and determined character who surely proved that even with unfavorable beginnings, What is for you, is for you. If you are looking to read something inspiring and thought-provoking, you must read this novel. Lucinda Johnson, I’m waiting anxiously to read your next novel! - Reviewed in the United States.

Q: Can you tell us about the inspiration behind your novel, "Finding a Soulful Love"?
A. “Finding a Soulful Love” is my first novel and was inspired by my profound desire to have a love that could be felt within my heart and soul. I embraced the journey and mystery of this often elusive, deepest, and truest love. It is love that fuels the essence of my being and the creation of this novel.
Q: Your book follows Cynthia's journey in search of love. How much of her experiences and emotions mirror your own personal experiences or those of people you know?
A. The relationships, although there are touches of creativity, are what helped bring this novel to life. At least 70% mirrors my own experiences and emotions. This is a story that every heart can relate to. The love that the heart craves—the love that speaks of patience and kindness—is a love that is worth fighting for.
Q: The novel explores various forms of love, such as sisterly love and family love. How do these different types of love contribute to Cynthia's growth and understanding of what she truly desires?
A. When Cynthia lost her grandmother, it changed her whole world. This was a family of strangers. Debra, who was like a sister was no longer there. Feeling that love from them strengthened her heart, giving her faith in love. Now, as she grew older, she was ready to give that love she felt to family, friends, and a man.
Q: Cynthia faces numerous challenges and heartbreaks in her quest for love. How did you approach writing about these difficult and emotional moments?
A. Being able to write about these heartbreaks was emotional, but also therapeutic and was a reminder of what will never be again. Particularly her relationships with Daniel and Robert, which she stayed in for all the wrong reasons. Her children and finances.
Q: The book delves into themes of perseverance and not giving up on love. How did you want your readers to relate to Cynthia's determination?
A. I want the readers to see that you can learn from your past experiences and forge ahead to better your life. You don’t give up. These experiences are there to prepare for your future. There’s this song by, Eric Roberson called “Lesson.” A verse says, “If I never went through it, I would never found a love like you”.
Q: As an executive working in a nonprofit, how do you balance your professional life with your passion for writing?
A. As a professional, with the day-to-day operations, that were sometimes challenging, writing turned out to be a stress relief. Always writing in the evenings, I would turn on the TV, sit at the head of my bed, and just open my mind to my writing, as I created my characters.
Q: "Finding a Soulful Love" deals with complex relationships, including abusive and toxic ones. Why was it important for you to address these issues in your novel?
A. It is known that a lot of women will go through abusive and toxic relationships. The readers will see that they don’t have to stay. That accepting this behavior doesn’t just affect them, but the children too. That you should love yourself enough to say no. Something Cynthia wishes someone told her.
Q: "Finding a Soulful Love" has a strong focus on emotions and inner feelings. How did you ensure that these emotions were effectively conveyed to the readers?
A. These emotions were pure. The storylines were reflected upon events that would happen in real life, rather it is going back into the dating game after so many years or dealing with an abusive relationship. Hanging out with the girls and talking about your man and ways to save or leave a relationship that just isn’t working.
Q: What challenges did you face while writing the book 'Finding a Soulful Love', and how did you overcome them?
A. Because this book had a lot of personal experiences, it was a joy to write. Overcoming all fears in my words. There was laughter, astonishment by the imagination, and tears. Able to triumph over heartbreaks. These emotions were pure. It was written after finding that soulful love.
Q: How has your professional background in helping people improve their lives influenced the themes and messages conveyed in your novel?
A. My professional background did not contribute to my novel. This book was written on personal experience of the themes and messages that were conveyed. It really started out with a desire to find someone that would contribute to my life in a positive way. To learn how to accept and receive real love.
Q: What do you hope readers will take away from "Finding a Soulful Love" after reading the last page?
A. That, as long as you don’t give up, and let your heart guide you in the right direction, you will find the love that you desire. Don’t be afraid of your trials and tribulations. They are what makes you the person that you are. Strong, beautiful, and worthy of your heart's desire.
